LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – A former Catholic school teacher accused of having sex with a teenage student turned himself in Friday.
Jesus Omar Sandoval was a teacher at Lebanon Catholic School. Lebanon police said Sandoval had sex with a 15-year-old student between October 2013 and June of 2014.
The school sent a letter out to parents telling them Sandoval was put on administrative leave after police told them about their investigation last month. He has since been fired.
Police don’t know if Sandoval was involved with any other students. They said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with more information should call Detective Sgt. Jon Hess with the Lebanon City Police Department at 717-272-6611.
Sandoval is in the Lebanon County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. He has been charged with statutory sexual assault, institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age.
