HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Harrisburg is making strides today – against breast cancer, that is.
The annual nationwide walk held by the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer hosted a non-competitive, three- to five-mile walk to support every people affected by the disease.
Tens of thousands of people gathered early in the morning at City Island to raise money to find a cure and fund research for breast cancer.
The event website calculated over 300 thousand dollars raised by over 2,000 volunteers.
