Teen girl charged for clown threats to 4 Pa. schools

READING, Pa. (WHTM) – A 16-year-old girl has been arrested for using social media to post threatening clown messages directed at four Pennsylvania school districts.

The Berks County district attorney’s office said the girl, a student at Wilson School District near Reading, threatened violence at in school district and at the Governor Mifflin, Reading, and Twin Valley school districts.

She admitted she posted the threatening messages because she didn’t want to go to school, authorities said.

She’s been detained in a juvenile detention facility on multiple charges of terroristic threats, criminal use of a communications facility, harassment, disorderly conduct, and false alarms to agencies of public safety.
