LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Lancaster police are investigating after a man was shot in the face Thursday morning in the city.
Officers were called just before 11:40 a.m. to Lancaster General Hospital for a report of a walk-in patient with a gunshot wound to the jaw.
The patient, a 19-year-old male, told police he suffered the non-life threatening injury during an incident near Reservoir Park on East King Street.
During an investigation of the area, police found blood on steps leading to a residence in the 500 block of W. Orange Street.
When police attempted to make contact with those inside the home, officers observed at least two men throwing items from the roof to a neighboring yard.
The home is currently being secured until detectives obtain a search warrant.
No charges have been filed at this time. Police said the shooting does not appear to be a random act and there is no danger to the public.
