Man accused of assaulting women, holding others against their will

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man is facing charges in Franklin County after allegedly holding three people against their will.

Chambersburg police officers responded Wednesday to an incident on Birch Street.

William Jack Caldwell held two women and a male against their will, according to police.

The women reported to police that Caldwell assaulted them and made threats against their lives.

Caldwell also provided false identification to officers, police said.

The 33-year-old was charged with making terroristic threats, false imprisonment, simple assault and providing false identification to law enforcement.
