Lebanon man charged for bank robbery

LEBANON, Pa, (WHTM) – North Lebanon police arresting a man for a bank robbery at the Ebenezer branch of Jonestown Bank on Rt. 72 North this morning.

Investigators say a man wearing a bandana, sunglasses, and a sweatshirt with the hood up, gave the teller a note demanding money, and threatening he had a knife and a gun. The teller gave him an unknown amount of money, before the suspect ran off heading south on Rt. 72.

Responding officers were able to detain him a short distance from the bank. The suspect is identified as Christopher Leedom of Lebanon. All of the money taken from the bank was recovered, along with the bandanna and sunglasses that he had been wearing at the time of the robbery, and a knife. There were no injuries. Leedom is charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, posessiong instruments of crime, simple assault, and resisting arrest. Leedom is currently in Lebanon County Central Booking.
