Lancaster County convenience store robbed at knifepoint

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County convenience store was robbed at knifepoint late Monday night, according to the East Lampeter Township Police Department.

A suspect entered the Turkey Hill Minit Market in Smoketown shortly before midnight and demanded money after brandishing a knife.

Cash and 51 packs of Newport cigarettes were stolen, police said.

The suspect’s face was covered but he is described as being in his 20s, about six feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black shirt with grey sleeves and jeans.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to call Det. Chris Jones with the East Lampeter Township Police Department at 717-291-4676.
