LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Lancaster police repsonding to the 600 block of George Street on Monday for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene finding 2 homes and a parked, unoccupied vehicle had been struck and damaged by bullets. Police say both homes were occupied at the time, and there were no reported injuries from the gunfire. Officers say the suspect fled the area on foot.
After speaking with witnesses and victims, Zeyquan L. Sanchez was positively identifed as the person that had fired the shots on George St. Investigators found that Sanchez already had an outstanding Lancaster County Bench Warrant for his arrest after failing to appear at a court date.
Early this morning, Sanchez was arrested at home on the 500 block of Walnut Street in Columbia Borough. Sanchez is charged with 9 counts of aggravated assault, 9 counts of reckless endangerment, and also charged with as a person not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, and 2 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
