1 injured in afternoon Harrisburg shooting, suspect sought by police

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Harrisburg police are searching for a gunman after a person was shot this afternoon in the city.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Dauphin Street.

A 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is expected to survive.

Police do not have a description of the shooter at this time but it is believed they fled on foot.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call a city detective at 717-255-3158 or 717-255-3170.

Tips may also be submitted through Crime Watch.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $2,000 for information that can lead to an arrest.
