LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Lititz Borough police were called ot a home in the borough around 7:25 p.m. Sunday night, for a report of a woman attempting to hang herself. Officers responding to the scene found the report was false. As the investigation continued, officers from Northern Lancaster County Regional Police located the man they say made the report, Michael Edward Arellano, in the first block of West Seventh Street.
Northern Lancaster Regional was investigating a separate incident of reported gunshots in the area. Police say Arellano made the false report, and had been setting off fireworks in the area. Officers say Arellano also resisted arrest as officers were taking him into custody, and they say he threatened to harm one of the officers.
As a result of these incidents, Police charged Arellano with Terroristic Threats, Resisting Arrest, False Reports to Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness. Arellano was taken to Central Booking to await arraignment on the charges.
