MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Upper Allen police officers responded to the 300 block of Reservoir Road to investigate a report of small children, three years old and younger, walking in the street unsupervised.
Officers said they found that the children wandered outside of their home, unknown to the parent who was sleeping inside, 25-year-old Brittany Spotts.
Police investigated a similar occurrence at the same location earlier in September.
During the investigation, police said they also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home where the children had access to it.
As a result of the investigation, the children were temporarily removed from the home.
Spotts was charged with endangering the welfare of children and drug offenses.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Spotts, who turned herself in on Oct. 6. She was arraigned and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 31.
