Front Porch Project puts kids first

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A free community gathering Thursday night educated people on the West Shore about defusing situations that could potentially harm children.

The Front Porch Project at the First United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg included discussions, videos and activities using research-supported strategies for how to deal with real-life circumstances that residents face.

The event was hosted by the Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance, which provides training on recognizing and reported suspected child abuse.
