Police seek escapee from work release at York County Prison

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are looking for an inmate who walked away from the work release facility at the York County Prison.

Bernard Turner on Sept. 29 was granted permission for temporary leave to conduct business at a nearby government office and he failed to return, police said.

Turner, 33, of York, is charged with escape.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call state police in York at (717) 428-1011.
