Police: Man robbed elderly couple in grocery store parking lot


YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are asking for help to identify a man who robbed an elderly couple at knifepoint in the parking lot of a York County grocery store.

Springettsbury Township police released surveillance photos of their suspect on Thursday.

They said on Monday evening, he robbed the couple outside the Weis Markets in the 2400 block of East Market Street.

The man and woman, both in their 70’s, reported the man pulled a knife, took a purse and a wallet, and fled in a gray or blue sedan, possibly a Nissan.

Anyone who can identify him is asked to call Springettsbury police at 717-757-3525.
