LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster man wanted for an attempted homicide in the city was arrested Thursday morning after a standoff in York County.

Ravouth Cheng, 27, barricaded himself inside a motel room in the 200 block of Arsenal Road and refused to leave for two hours, police said. He eventually surrendered without further incident.

Cheng is accused of stabbing his 35-year-old girlfriend in the face Tuesday night at a home they shared in the 200 block of North Reservoir Street. The woman also sustained a broken jaw, police said.

Cheng then grabbed his girlfriend’s father around the neck and pointed the knife at him, police said. The father tried to take the knife and was cut on his hands.

Both were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Cheng was transported back to Lancaster County after his arrest and committed to the county prison on $1 million bail. He is charged with attempted homicide, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of children.
