Lancaster police seek tips after woman reports kidnapping


UPDATE: Police say the driver of the truck has been located. No details were immediately available.

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Lancaster police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who reportedly kidnapped a woman from the city and drove her to Berks County.

City police on Thursday released a surveillance photo of the man and another that shows the black Dodge Ram truck he was driving.

s-_prince_st-_truckThe woman told police in Exeter Township, near Reading, that she was in the area of South Prince and Seymour streets in Lancaster when the man told her to get into the truck or he would kill her.

She said they drove through Lancaster, Chester and Berks counties before she was dropped off in Berks County.

The woman made the report Sunday afternoon from the parking lot of a Walmart store. Lancaster police said she is a resident of Berks County and was not immediately available their detectives.
