SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Cumberland County man was arrested after police say he tried to break into a woman’s home.

Andrew P. Koser, 28, of Shippensburg, had cut the screens on the kitchen windows when police responded Friday night and found outside the home in the 100 block of South Fayette Street, police said.

The woman told officers she was awakened by a “knocking and a zipping, rattling sound.” She said she looked around the house and found an open kitchen window, but went back to bed after searching the house.

A short time later, she heard the noise again and believed it was “much closer and inside.”

Koser was charged with attempted burglary, criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at night, possession of instruments of crime, and criminal mischief. He was jailed in the Cumberland County Prison on $75,000 bail.
