STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) – After this past Saturday’s overtime win for Penn State, one thing was clear: bringing back home the Governor’s Victory Bell was secondary to the confidence gained (and needed) through the first 5 games of the season.
The win improves Penn State’s record to 3-2 with its fair share of blemishes and injuries along the way. James Franklin says his players have persevered in spite of those set backs.
“What I love about our team right is whether things are going good or whether we’re having challenges, you don’t see the demeanor change.”
Next comes Maryland, with the most recent history between the two teams being as close as it can get. Two games, one win for each team with each game decided by one point.
Penn State kicks off this Saturday at noon inside Beaver Stadium before the team’s bye week.
