Shot fired during robbery attempt at York County Subway

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – An armed robbery suspect fired his gun inside a York County business over the weekend, according to police.

Officers with the Spring Garden Township Police Department were called around 7 p.m. Saturday for a robbery at the Subway on South Queen Street.

Witnesses told police a suspect in a ski mask pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. When the employee refused to hand over money, the suspect fired a round into the ceiling and fled the store.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call the Spring Garden Township Police Department at 717-843-0851.
