Pa. Senate OKs special license plate for military members

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The state Senate gave final approval this week to a bill that creates a special license plate for active members of the United States Armed Forces.

Senate Bill 1155 was sent to Gov. Tom Wolf for enactment into law.

The license plates would be available to active members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The plates would designate the branch of service and include the service emblem.

PennDOT already offers several specialty license plates for Pennsylvania’s military veterans.
