LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Lancaster police arrested two men for drug and firearms violations after a routine traffic stop.
Two officers on patrol stopped a car for a noise ordinance violation in the 300 block of Howard Avenue around 1:30 Friday morning. They said the passenger, 23-year-old Davonte Butts, had several baggies of suspected heroin and .22 caliber rounds.
A.22 caliber revolver was in the car.
Police arrested Butts and the driver, 30-year-old Brandon Pitt. Pitt is charged with firearms not to be carried without a license, driving with a suspended license, and a noise ordinance.
Butts is charged with possession of heroin, persons not to possess firearms, and firearms not to be carried without a license.
Both men placed in the Lancaster County Prison.
Lancaster police say this is their 44th firearms related arrest this year.
