HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A former felon in Harrisburg was arrested this week in a stolen firearm investigation.

Darrell Heizman was identified by police as a suspect accused of stealing a gun.

He was arrested Tuesday in the 300 block of Hummel Street. A bag was found near Heizman that police say contained 20 baggies of heroin and a stolen .40 caliber handgun.

Another stolen handgun was found at Heizman’s residence after police executed a search warrant. Fifty bags of heroin and drug packaging material were also located in the home.

The original stolen gun was not recovered, police said.

Heizman received $10,000 bail for a warrant issued on Sept. 6 related to firearms charges and other counts. His bail was set at $35,000 for charges filed Tuesday, which also pertain to firearms, as well as drugs and paraphernalia.
