Snakes have many brilliant colors, and early Fall is a time when many baby snakes are making an appearance in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania’s venomous snakes are born around August and September. Some of my friends from the Pennsylvania Amphibian and Reptile Survey shared photos of a few baby snakes they recently encountered in our area.
“Venomous snakes are like your car or your kitchen stove. They are important parts of your life, but you should teach your family to be careful around them. However, if you see a snake, just snap a photo and send it to us for a free species ID and we are happy to let you know whether or not it is venomous,” tells Jesse.
