Cargill recalls 3 products sold at Wilbur Chocolate store

LITITZ, Pa. (WHTM) – Cargill is recalling three varieties of boxed chocolate nut clusters sold under its Wilbur Chocolate brand through the Wilbur Chocolate Store.

The company said the products were supplied by Asher Chocolate Company, which recalled a number of its products in early September because of a possible salmonella contamination.

The recall affects 70 boxes of three different products,  including boxed milk chocolate clusters containing cashews and boxed dark chocolate clusters containing peanuts and almonds.

The chocolates were sold at the store in Lititz between July 11 and Sept. 20.

The items are:

  • Wilbur Milk Chocolate Cashew Cluster, batch 16070401WH;
  • Wilbur Dark Chocolate Peanut Cluster, batch 16063001WH; and
  • Wilbur Dark Chocolate Almond Cluster, batch 16080901WH.

No illnesses have been reported.

Customers who purchased any of these products should return any unconsumed portions to the Wilbur Chocolate Store.
