Chambersburg traffic lights back to normal after power outage

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Electric crews have restored power to hundreds of customers after an outage Wednesday afternoon put lights out at traffic signals during rush hour.

The outage, first reported at approximately 4:50 p.m., caused traffic signals to go dark, mostly along Route 30, according to Ron Pezon, the Chambersburg Electric Department supervisor. A small number of customers on Sixth and Fourth streets were also impacted, Pezon said.

Approximately 471 customers were impacted by the outage.

Crews restored power by 5:30 p.m.
