Today will bring more of the same for the weather across Central PA. Expect some thin clouds overhead with otherwise sunny skies. It will continue to be warm with highs in the mid 80s as high pressure further expands across the area. Tonight will be clear and pleasant with lows in the lower 60s.
Autumn officially begins tomorrow, but the heat stays for the rest of the week. A significantly cooler push of air will move southward this weekend to finally bring a fall feel to the region. We do not expect any rain when this transition occurs Friday night into Saturday morning. Expect a significant temperature change Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday will be even cooler with a high of only 72 degrees. The coolest part of this period will be Monday morning with most thermometers dipping into the 40s! At this point, it looks seasonably warm and dry to start October. Stay tuned…but for now the weather looks fairly quiet.
