Police ID girl, 2, fatally struck in Lancaster County

BROWNSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have identified a 2-year-old girl who died after she was struck by a van at a Lancaster County home.

Andrea Zimmerman, of Ephrata, was struck by a Dodge Caravan operated by her aunt, a 23-year-old Terre Hill woman, West Earl Township police said Wednesday.

The incident occurred Tuesday morning at a home in the 300 block of South Farmersville Road. Police said the girl was struck near a barn on the property and died at Lancaster General Hospital. An investigation is ongoing.

A 19-month-old girl died in the same block of South Farmersville Road in November. Police said that girl was struck by her father as he operated a skid loader.
