Hit-and-run driver struck 5-year-old girl, police say

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 5-year-old girl in Cumberland County.

Upper Allen Township police said a man with short brown hair was driving a silver car, possibly a Mitsubishi Eclipse, when he struck the child in the 1100 block of Granada Lane and fled at around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The girl was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her condition was not immediately released.

Police said the car has silver alloy wheels and a low profile spoiler on the rear.
