3 injured in Lancaster County crash

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Southern Regional police responded to a crash with injuries on Route 272 at West Willow Road in Pequea Township around 7:30 last night.

Investigators say Daniel Sapp was driving a 2005 Acura sedan and was trying to pass a Chevy sedan driven by Michael Klase. According to police, Sapp’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the right lane and struck the front passenger side of Klase’s car.

Sapp’s car spun sideways and rolled over multiple times. Police say Sapp was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his car. He is currently in critical condition.

Klase and his passenger both suffered minor injuries. Route 272, locally known as Willow Street Pike, was closed in the area until 10 p.m. while police investigated.
