Police make arrest after assault, shots fired in Lebanon

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Lebanon police made an arrest Monday after gunshots were fired in the city.

Officers were called to the 400 block of North 9th Street for a report of shots fired shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Frank Estrada-Vargas, 50, stopped his vehicle to assault someone on the sidewalk, according to police. During the assault, a handgun was discharged.

The handgun was stolen in Lehigh County in 2010, investigators said.

No one was injured.

Estrada-Vargas was taken into custody and charges against him are pending.
