PENBROOK, Pa. (WHTM) – Two Harrisburg men were arrested after police said they robbed a 15-year-old of a cell phone he was trying to sell over the internet.
Eighteen-year-olds Troy Brooks and David Hayward Jr. met the teen under the ruse of completing the purchase, but sprayed him with mace and ran off with the phone, according to Penbrook police.
The incident reportedly occurred Monday afternoon in the 2800 block of Penbrook Avenue.
Responding officers found the pair a few minutes later and about five blocks from the scene of the robbery. One of them still had the mace canister, police said.
Both were charged with robbery and conspiracy and placed in Dauphin County Prison.
