YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in York County are investigating a string of burglaries in an area that has recently been plagued by similar crimes.
Four cases of either burglary or attempted burglary on Saturday evening were reported to the Spring Garden Township Police Department.
Much of the department’s investigation into the weekend crimes is centered in the 1400 block of East Philadelphia Street. Homeowners there reported doors and windows had been opened and somebody had rummaged through their vehicles. A handgun was also reported stolen.
Additionally, officers were called to a home in the 1500 block of Wayne Avenue where a window was forced open and several items were stolen.
These crimes mark the latest in several similar cases reported in the area, including another burglary Monday morning in the 900 block of Summit Circle South.
