Harrisburg businessman gets 18 months for tax fraud

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The former owner of several Dauphin County businesses will spend 18 months in federal prison for tax fraud.

Paul Biko, 66, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court.

Biko was the owner and controlled the financial affairs of three Harrisburg businesses: Clearview of Harrisburg, Clearview Landscaping, and Clearview Builders. In the fourth quarter of 2008, authorities said the companies withheld federal employment taxes from employees but failed to pay the IRS.

The court ordered Biko to pay restitution in the amount of $437,336.
