BROWNSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – A 2-year-old girl died after she was struck by a minivan Tuesday morning at a Lancaster County home.

West Earl Township police said the Ephrata girl was struck by a Dodge Caravan at a residence in the 300 block of South Farmersville Road. The incident occurred at around 10:15 a.m.

The child was transported to Lancaster General Hospital by ambulance and pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities said initial reports indicated the girl was pinned between the vehicle and a barn. Officers arrived and found the child near a barn on the property.

They said the driver, a 23-year-old woman from Terre Hill, is related to the girl.

The investigation is ongoing.

A 19-month-old girl died in the same block of South Farmersville Road in November. Police said that girl was struck by a skid loader as her father was backing up.
