Denon recalls battery packs for fire, burn hazard

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Denon Electronics is recalling rechargeable battery packs that can overheat and pose fire and burn hazards.

The recall is for Denon’s HEOS 1 Go Pack lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs for wireless speakers. They were sold at Best Buy and other retailers from May 2015 through June 2016 for about $100.

No injuries have been reported.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said consumers should stop using the battery packs and contact Denon for a free replacement.
