Much needed rainfall is finally occurring across Central PA thanks to a stalled frontal boundary. Expect periods of heavy rain (and even some thunder) to continue for much of the morning. The rain will taper to scattered showers this afternoon but clouds will be tough to budge today as the front is a slow-mover. Highs will be in the upper 70s this afternoon. While there could be some minor flooding due to several inches of rainfall in a short time this morning, no major problems are expected due to our recent dry weather. Expect mostly cloudy skies to continue tonight with patchy fog developing. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
After today, a surge of warmth invades once again with highs in the mid 80s the rest of the week. There will be plenty of sunshine and a return to dry conditions as well. High temperatures will run 10-15 degrees above normal for the week! A weak cold front will bring more seasonable temperatures by the end of next weekend, but rainfall will be hard to come by after today. Stay tuned!
