Shoe Strut benefits local children

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) – Shoes of all shapes and sizes were clicking around inside the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg on Friday.

Classic pumps, high heel sandals, popular stilettos, peep toes; you name it, women wore it at The Salvation Army Harrisburg’s popular Shoe Strut.

The purpose of the fundraiser is to get enough money donated to help children in need get a pair of shoes on their feet. For each guest, Boscov’s donated a pair of shoes to a child through The Salvation Army.

So far, Boscov’s has given 1,200 pairs.

All proceeds from a silent auction, featuring a variety of the latest must-have items, also benefits children served by The Salvation Army.

The sold-out event also features the season’s hottest trends in footwear.
