MOUNTVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Police now say a Lancaster County man accused of assaulting his girlfriend last month also injured her 2-year-old son.
Zachary Ream, a 31-year-old Mountville resident, was arrested Aug. 28 for the incident that took place two days prior in the 400 block of Talon Drive.
Ream’s girlfriend previously told police he was intoxicated around 10 p.m. and sliced her tire when she tried to leave. She also told police Ream threatened her son with a gun, which was used to hit her in the back of the head.
Police now say the child was struck in the eye during the assault and suffered bruising.
Ream was held for court after a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Charges of making terrorisitic threats, simple assault, endangering a child and criminal mischief were filed.
Ream is in Lancaster County Prison on $1 million bail and his arraignment in county court is set for Oct. 14.
