LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) — Lebanon City Police are investigating an attempted robbery they believe is connected to recent thefts from cars.
A 29-year-old man told police two men and a woman approached him on the 500 block of E. Mifflin Street just after 2:00 a.m. on Sept. 13. One man pulled a handgun and tried to rob the victim, but the victim did not have any personal property and the suspects ran.
Police believe the trio were also involved in thefts from cars the night of Sept. 12 into the morning of Sept. 13. Police recovered numerous stolen items, though not all have been identified by owners yet.
Police identified one person of interested from the attempted robbery. They found 31-year-old Alex Perlaki, of Lebanon, hiding in a grassy area on the 1400 block of Lehman St. around 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 13. Police said Perlaki had items they believe were stolen from cars. Perlaki was jailed and is awaiting charges, pending identification of the stolen items.
