Our pattern for much of the summer resulted in a ridge of high pressure that basically stalled over the eastern U.S. This pattern will continue to hold true for much of September providing warmer than average conditions, lots of sunshine, and limited rainfall. Today, for example, will be warmer than average with highs in the lower 80s. The day will start off with a few clouds and some fog before some afternoon sunshine! Tomorrow brings a slim chance for a late day thunderstorms as a cold front ushers more seasonable air into the Pennsylvania for the end of the week. Thursday and Friday will feature highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Both days should be sunny and dry. Looking ahead to the weekend, another cold front provides a better chance for thunderstorms late Saturday. At this point, it appears the front will stall into early next week and provide the opportunity for scattered showers both Sunday and Monday. Fingers crossed this happens because any rainfall would be welcome at this point. Stay tuned.\
