HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Lower Paxton Township Police Department has asked the Dauphin County district attorney’s office to investigate an incident involving two on-duty officers.
The district attorney’s office will determine if there were any criminal violations during the incident, which occurred at the police station Monday morning.
Police did not say what occurred that involved the two officers. They said no member of the public was involved or placed at risk, and no investigations were compromised.
“The Lower Paxton Township Police Department will also conduct an internal professional responsibility investigation to determine accountability for any possible violation of departmental rules or regulations,” the police department wrote in a news release.
“Due to personnel regulations, Lower Paxton Township cannot release any other information at this time. The Director of Public Safety stressed that the matter is being taken seriously and all appropriate steps are being taken to fully resolve the situation,” the statement concluded.
