The Unity Drummers got their start playing for the annual Baha’i Race Unity Day picnic several years ago.
“We had all drummed together and wanted to share our love of drumming with others. We are still doing that. We continue to play for the Baha’i Race Unity Picnic every year, and we have played for private and public events such as PA Day of Prayer, Take Back the Streets, park dedications, church services, and diversity events of all kinds,” tells Yvonne Sadowy.
On September 10, they will be playing for the 2nd Annual Unity in Diversity event in Hummelstown.
“Drumming brings people together, makes them happy, soothes them, excites them, and makes them want to dance. Humans have been drumming for thousands of years. It is as natural as our heartbeats.”
The Unity Drummers even played a beat for our audience today!
