Live-fire exercises planned at Fort Indiantown Gap

FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (WHTM) – People who live near Fort Indiantown Gap may hear increased noise during several live-fire exercises scheduled for this month.

The exercises between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. include 155mm artillery training Sept. 9-11 and 120mm tank firing Sept. 17.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania.

Training that is expected to result in increased noise levels is announced as a courtesy to nearby residents.
