State government workers ratify new contract

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania’s largest state employees union has ratified a new three-year contract.

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 13 announced its members approved an agreement reached with the Wolf administration last month.

The new contract raises pay by 7.25 percent over three years and increases employee contributions toward health insurance.

AFSCME Council 13 represents more than 40,000 state workers.
