WILLIAMSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say a Pine Grove man was under the influence of drugs when he crashed a motorcycle while fleeing troopers in northern Dauphin County.

Police said they tried to pull over 23-year-old Devon M. Cooper for a tail light violation, speeding, and suspected DUI, but he took off at speeds of up to 80 mph in a 25 mph zone before losing control Saturday evening.

Cooper was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Police say he had a large amount of illegal drugs, paraphernalia, and a loaded gun.

He was charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, fleeing and eluding, a firearms offense, and numerous other charges.
