HALIFAX, Pa. (WHTM) – A Dauphin County man is jailed after police say he opened fire on three people from his Halifax Township home.
Earl W. Boyer, 62, yelled a threatening statement and then fired at least three rounds from his M-1 .30-caliber rifle at the victims, who were at an adjacent property, state police in Lykens said in a news release.
The victims had to take cover until troopers arrived at Boyer’s home on Aug. 7, police said. No one was injured.
Boyer is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment. Bail was set at $50,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 13.
