Tracking Hermine for the weekend

Showers will linger across the region through sunrise but clouds may hang around for much of the day. A cold front will be slow to clear the region today and there could even be a shower or two popping back up in spots this afternoon. It will be much cooler too with highs around 80 degrees. Skies will eventually clear late day with a nice night on tap. Expect mostly clear skies and lows near 60…much more refreshing! For Labor Day weekend there are now more questions about exactly how the pattern plays out for us locally. Clouds could approach from the coast as early as Saturday as Tropical Storm Hermine heads north. Originally, the official track took the storm farther out to sea and well west of Pennsylvania. Now the forecast models are pushing the track farther west with impacts this weekend for the New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware shore points. The pattern driving this change is very complicated and more changes are expected. There is no certainty for rain here locally in Central PA, but we are watching this forecast closely. Exact impacts are still unknown but if our region were to get any rainfall from this system it would likely come Saturday night into the first part of Sunday.
