Man arrested for attempted homicide in York

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have arrested a suspect in an attempted homicide case last month where a man was shot in the face.

Calvin Fountain, 53, turned himself in Wednesday and was jailed in York County Prison on $750,000 bail, city police said.

Fountain is accused of shooting the 47-year-old victim with a shotgun on Aug. 11 in the 400 block of Park Street. He’s also charged with aggravated assault and illegal possession of a gun.

The victim was expected to survive.

Investigators have said the shooting was not a random incident.
