Armed suspect sought in Lancaster jewelry store robbery

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Multiple police units are searching for the man who robbed a Zales Diamond store at gunpoint this morning in Lancaster.

It happened at around 9:35 a.m. at the jewelry store inside the Tanger Outlet complex.

East Lampeter Township police said the man entered the store with his face covered and holding a firearm.

Strasburg Borough police reported seeing the suspect drive through their borough.

The suspect reportedly abandoned his vehicle in Christiana Borough and fled into the woods.

He is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, short in height, with a stocky build and close-cropped haircut. He was last seen wearing a white tank top with shorts and is armed.
