York man shot in face expected to survive, police say

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A 47-year-old man was transported to a hospital after a shooting in the city early Thursday.

Police said the man was struck in the face by a shotgun blast. He was found lying on a sidewalk near his home in the 400 block of Park Street around 4:30 a.m.

The victim is in stable condition and is expected to survive, police said.

Investigators said the shooting was not a random incident. No suspects are in custody.
